Terms of Use — Argosa: Sea Trade Empire

These Terms govern your use of Argosa: Sea Trade Empire (“Argosa”, “the game”). By installing or playing Argosa you accept them; if you do not, please do not use the game. Argosa is published by the game’s independent developer (“we”). Contact: info@esimostudios.com.

1. Your license

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and play Argosa on devices you own, under the rules of the store you got it from (Apple App Store or Google Play). The game, its world, names, art, music, and text — the Sundered Sea and everything on it — remain our property.

2. Fair play

You agree not to:

• decompile, reverse-engineer, or extract the game’s code or assets;
• tamper with purchases, receipts, saves, or leaderboard submissions (patched clients, memory editors, automation tools);
• use the game for anything unlawful.

We may invalidate leaderboard entries produced by tampering.

3. In-app purchases — exactly what you get

All payments are processed by the App Store or Google Play; refunds follow the store’s refund policy. Argosa sells:

The Pouch / The Chest / The Hoard / The Galleon	gold packs	Gold is added to your purse immediately, and recorded to your lifetime purchased-gold balance (see §4).
Starter Merchant’s Pack	one-time bundle	Removes interstitial ads, grants an 18,000-gold chest once, and sets you out in a Brig instead of a Cutter on every voyage. The unlock is restorable.

Purchased gold and items are virtual goods: they have no real-world money value, cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged, and exist only inside Argosa.

4. Purchased gold and “New Voyage”

Starting a New Voyage erases the active voyage — gold earned at sea, ship, cargo, skills, commissions, world progress — for good. Two things always come back:

• Everything you paid for. Your lifetime purchased-gold balance is re-granted at the start of every new voyage, and the Starter Merchant’s Pack Brig sails with you. This balance also survives deleting and reinstalling the game (it is rebuilt from your store purchase history).
• Your account-level records — achievements, lifetime statistics, and ad-removal.

One honesty note: the Restore Purchases button restores unlocks (ad removal, the Merchant’s Pack). Consumed gold packs are not re-delivered as new gold by the stores — your paid balance instead returns through the lifetime mechanism above.

5. Leaderboards

The “Richest Captains” board ranks gold earned at sea only — purchased gold is never counted. The “Master Mariners” board ranks captain experience. Entries produced by cheating may be removed (§2).

6. Changes to the game

Argosa is a living game. We may adjust balance — prices, rewards, ship costs, encounter rates — add or retire features, or update these Terms. Material changes to the Terms are signalled by the “Last Updated” date above. Continued play after a change means acceptance.

7. No warranty; limitation of liability

Argosa is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by the law of your place of residence, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumer law grants you and that cannot be waived.
